Presidents Day truck sales are here and some of these deals look incredible on the surface.
Zero percent financing. Massive cashback offers. Long term warranties. Heavy discounts on inventory.
But here is the problem. A great deal on the wrong engine is still the wrong truck.
In this video I break down the real Presidents Day deals on full size trucks including the 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, the 2026 Ram 1500, the 2026 Toyota Tundra, and the 2026 Ford F 150. I also cover heavy duty trucks like the 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, the 2026 Ram 2500, and the 2026 Ford F 250.
More importantly I explain which engines and powertrains I would personally avoid even if the incentives look tempting.
We talk about:
Chevy Silverado 1500 financing versus cashback
Why I would wait on certain GM V8 and diesel options
Why the 6.6 Duramax and 6.6 gas in heavy duty trucks still make sense
Ram 1500 zero percent offers and the 10 year 100000 mile powertrain warranty
Why the standard output Hurricane with the ZF transmission may be one of the strongest half ton combinations right now
Toyota Tundra 2025 versus 2026 and what I am seeing in complaint data
Ford F 150 pricing and why Ford does not seem to be pushing aggressive incentives
The reality of the Ford and GM 10 speed transmission
Heavy duty value versus half ton value
Real world pricing comparisons in my region
Why inventory levels and tax refund season matter
How to check reliability data before signing anything
I also show how I use up to date NHTSA complaint data to track real owner reported engine failures including crankshaft issues bearing failures and transmission problems.
This is not about brand loyalty.
This is about reducing your risk.
Once most buyers decide to purchase a brand new truck it is almost impossible to change their mind. The only thing we can do is guide buyers toward the powertrains that appear more stable right now and away from the ones showing repeated patterns of failure.
If you are shopping Presidents Day truck deals this weekend do your homework first.
A cheap truck that lives on a flatbed is not a deal.
Let me know in the comments which engine you would trust the most in 2026 and which one you would not touch.
